Macallan Edition 1 Whisky Review
People generally tend to complaining about Macallan having missing its mojo. This is a mixture of various sizes of American and mostly European oak casks. However, Macallan is a heavy distillate and it desires oak to flourish fully. Secondly, you get rosin, marmalade, fig jam, and the energy of focus oils. Lastly, substantial and properly really well worth checking out.

These days, the grand old Macallans cost an absolute fortune on auction sites. Though almost two-centuries old, recent years have seen premium of Macallan Edition 1. In addition, its Fine & Rare collection kick-starting a drive to appeal to the wealthy. More so, a bottle of The Macallan (1926) was valued at almost $54,000 as was seen at a Christie’s auction. Other bottles now sell for even more stupid prices.
The Macallan Edition No 1 is the first release of Macallan Series. More so, it is a top quality whisky from 8 different European and American oak casks. In lieu of an age statement, they do as a minimum inform you what casks they were. (There’s more when you want to study and read more about sherry casks on whisky).
In the mouth: Also Gorgeous, plummy, viscous texture, delivering a wonderful sweet-savory profile. Those dried fruits: raisins, figs, with damson jam. Mince pies. Walnuts. Burnt toast, burnt sugar. There’s just a fraction too much woodiness playing through here: the black pepper notes just don’t quite complete it. A touch – nothing more, nothing less, of Worcestershire Sauce, which feels like the wood prickle not quite marrying with the rest of the heady fruit profile. Though the dried fruits endure, there’s almost a touch of dark ale on the finish. In addition, it is a complex stuff.
Finally, Ive find a no age statement whisky that genuinely excites me and Good to see a bold strength. Equally, the glorious texture and I’m glad they’re trying to give more cask information. Is it worth the price?. I think so because the Macallan Edition 1 is a big step up from the standard 1824 range. And it’s finally a Macallan that I can love.
